Herbed Turnip Mash with Caramelized Onions

Directions

  1. Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Cook onions with salt and pepper, stirring often, approx. 30 min. or until golden brown. Set aside.

  2. Meanwhile, in large saucepan of boiling salted water, cook turnips approx. 25 min., or until tender. Drain.

  3. Mash turnips with buttermilk, yogourt and vinegar. Stir in parsley, chives and reserved onions.
