Dutton Foodland gets major renovations

The Dutton Foodland, at 210 Currie Rd., has undergone major renovations to better serve their customers.

The store has a different look inside and out. The store aisles have been changed, there are new checkouts, new paint job and 80% of the refrigeration equipment has been changed. The outside of the building has also gotten a facelift; having changed from old drab brown to a “bright, welcoming colour,” according to Luis Leonardes, who owns the food market along with his wife, Deb.

“It was needed. The customers deserve it,” said Leonardes. “Spending capital money in small towns has become almost taboo because small towns are decreasing, it seems, in business. We believe in this community.”
