Community Spirit is Key at Winchester Foodland
Foodland store owners and employees are committed to working closely with their local communities to help raise money through fundraising partnerships.
Recently, Dan Pettigrew, owner of Winchester Foodland, partnered with the local Crime Stoppers group to help raise money for the organization.
As part of the fundraiser, Dan had 250 pairs of handcuffs attached to him, with each costing $10 to remove.
This fundraising event went extremely well with $2,500 raised for the Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers organization, as Dan was freed from all 250 handcuffs by 4:30 pm (he was locked up from 10 am!). In addition to raising money for this local cause, the event also generated over 10,000 views on the store’s Facebook page.
Great job Winchester Foodland team!
