Port Carling Foodland Celebrates 20 Years in the Muskoka Area
Turning 20 has its perks – just ask our mployees and customers at Port Carling Foodland. On the weekend of June 17 and 18, Port Carling Foodland celebrated their 20th anniversary serving the Muskoka area with giveaways for customers, a BBQ fundraiser and a $1,000 donation to Camp Oochigeas.
Gary and Chris Kadonoff, store owners of Port Carling Foodland kicked off the 20th anniversary on Friday, June 17 with a free Lotto 649 ticket with Encore to their first 50 customers. On Saturday, June 18, the celebrations continued with a free Bag for Life and coupons valued up to $100 for their first 50 customers.
On Saturday morning, employees organized a charity barbecue, serving peamal bacon sandwiches and mimosas for customers. Each breakfast cost $2 with proceeds going to Camp Oochigeas, a camp for children affected by cancer. In addition to these funds, Gary and Chris Kadonoff donated $1,000 to Camp Oochigeas. Accepting the cheque on behalf of the camp was Norm Miller, MPP , Muskoka-Parry Sound.
Moose FM was also on-site Saturday promoting the 20th anniversary celebrations, driving customers to the store and handing out Moose Swag to customers.
Port Carling Foodland celebrations ran until June 30.
